Descripción
Known as a sociologist, Libor Prudký only turned to poetry late in life. His third collection, In the Midst of the End, is a mature and unusual work. The finiteness of life, taking stock, awareness of God’s presence and the nearness of death are themes that not only fail to resonate in contemporary Czech poetry but have also been pushed out of everyday life. The collection is in Czech.
