Descripción
This Czech-language anthology brings together texts by three theatre figures who encountered Gurdjieff personally or through his pupils: Peter Brook, Jean-Claude Carrière and Jerzy Grotowski. It also includes an excerpt from Gurdjieff’s work Beelzebub’s Tales to His Grandson. The essays come from an extensive volume in which fifty people from different fields, professions and artistic disciplines testify to the decisive role Gurdjieff and his teaching played in their lives. The collection suggests that fundamental truths are the same in every area of life. Whether in mathematics, theatre or music, the basic laws at work in each can be observed and rediscovered, although doing so requires long and arduous searching, for which Gurdjieff is presented as a unique guide in our time.
