Descripción
An ambitious woman faces a difficult decision at almost the highest point of her career when her husband longs for a child. Her biological clock is sounding the alarm, so although reluctantly, she agrees to motherhood and expects maternal love to follow. Nothing of the sort happens, however, and she remains driven to build her career. Her husband takes on the parental responsibilities, but their growing daughter misses her mother and waits, believing that her mother will find time for her. Life unexpectedly entangles the young family in events that send a shiver down the reader’s spine.
