Miloň Čepelka has written numerous dramatic fairy tales for television, including The Golden Necklace and The Little Rabbit and the Dragon Princess, as well as for radio, but until now he has not published a book-length fairy tale. He describes his new book as a fairy tale-not-a-fairy tale, combining his childhood experiences and dreams with memories of real historical events he witnessed during his wartime childhood. The result is an engaging story of life then and now, enriched with mysterious fantastic elements and illustrations by Petr Netík, suitable for boys and girls around ten years old.
