Descripción
This book, in Czech, examines Xi Jinping’s political project and general strategy from 2012 to the present. After taking the helm of China, Xi Jinping introduced the slogan of the “Chinese dream” and later linked it to the creation of a “new era,” while reshaping many previously established and crucial principles of Chinese domestic and foreign policy. The analysis considers the conditions, key choices and dilemmas that characterize his rule, including the organization of Chinese politics, ideology, sources of power and their projection. It covers major issues shaping China’s present and future, such as the concentration of Xi Jinping’s personal power, relations with Taiwan and other key areas of interest, China’s approach to the international order and efforts toward structural economic reform. It also highlights the similarities and differences between Xi Jinping’s rule and that of earlier Chinese leaders, particularly Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping.
