This Czech-language Portuguese textbook contains 25 instructional lessons, each divided into two parts with their own grammar explanations and exercises, along with five revision lessons summarizing and practising the grammar and vocabulary from the preceding sections. The introductory texts consist mainly of dialogues based on contemporary spoken language. In the more advanced lessons, the dialogues are supplemented by continuous texts about the culture and life of Portuguese-speaking countries, as well as excerpts from literary works. Across 50 separate units, the textbook covers all the Portuguese grammar needed for everyday communication. The lessons are structured to suit different learning speeds, with varied exercises and diverse, entertaining texts. The material focuses on European Portuguese, while the most significant differences between the European and Brazilian varieties are explained in notes. Intended mainly for use in schools and courses, the textbook can also support self-study thanks to its two audio CDs, MP3 recording and concise grammar explanations.
