Descripción
Kateřina is an attractive middle-aged brunette who ought to be happy: she has two healthy children, a kind husband and a good job. The problem is that Katka does not feel happy at all. She takes her son’s adolescence, her young daughter’s sensitivity, her mother’s emotional instability and her own complicated relationship with people too much to heart. Life exhausts and tires her, and she can see nothing beautiful or amusing in it. The man she falls in love with and invests her last hopes in may also prove not to be the ideal she imagined. Perhaps it really is true that every cloud has a silver lining, and Katka will discover her recipe for happiness in the place where she would least expect it. This lightly humorous story explores how difficult life can be in one’s mind, the longing for a better world and the search for it. The book is in Czech.
