The first part of the book presents a new translation of Jan Amos Komenský's 1640 school play Diogenes the Cynic Alive Again. This well-known text has awaited a new rendering for 54 years, and the new Czech translation will certainly appeal to many readers more than the outdated version. The second part offers readers a Czech translation of Komenský's second play, Patriarch Abraham. Until now, Czech readers have had access only to brief excerpts from this work. Both translations include commentary and an introductory study. The contents are in Czech.
