Descripción
After finishing secondary school, Alice enrols at the Sorbonne in Paris, where she succeeds in her studies. Her Italian boyfriend Sandro, however, wants her to marry him immediately and move to Venice, a proposal she refuses. After graduating, Alice returns home, where her childhood friend Jiří begins courting her intensely. In time, she gives in to his persistence and marries him, as she puts it, more out of reason than love. Their marriage seems happy, although they remain childless. After several years together, however, Alice sees her husband in the company of another woman.
