Descripción
This paperback gathers Moshé Feldenkrais’s articles and interviews from 1964 to 1981, collected by editor Elizabeth Beringerová and supplemented with explanations of their context and photographic documents. The book presents the fundamental ideas of the Feldenkrais Method, including the importance of the organism’s adaptability as an expression of health. By consciously focusing on our movement patterns, we can also improve our mental functioning. It connects the method with subjects such as the relationship between hearing and spatial orientation, martial arts, the role of the forebrain and acting, while showing that Feldenkrais had a well-developed philosophical view of life and was in contact with important figures of his time. Some texts include specific exercise suggestions or draw on experiences from seminars led by Feldenkrais. The contents are in Czech.
