Gábina loves dogs, and at the shelter there is a puppy longing to have an owner. By chance, the two meet, and the puppy is named Stafík. He is capable of incredible things, and because Gábina is the school principal and they meet in a school corridor, Stafík soon becomes the darling of the whole school. When he also turns out to be a great hero, he becomes, quite simply, the school puppy. This Czech-language book is intended as a first reader for children in the first and second grades. Its language is adapted to their abilities, so children can read it independently, with their parents, or as a whole-class reading project. It is suitable for young readers from the age of six.
