Descripción
After the death of Abbess Jutta of Sponheim, Hildegard becomes the new mother superior and faces a difficult task. She must convince church officials that her visions are not whispered to her by the Devil but come from God, while also improving conditions for the nuns in her order. On this challenging journey, she is accompanied by the devoted monk Volmar, the energetic nun Richardis, the young steward Elisabeth and the knight Sieger of Wavry. All remain loyal to their beloved abbess and help her establish a new, independent convent for women. This Czech-language historical novel follows Hildegard’s struggle to secure recognition for her visions and build a new home for her community.
