This textbook presents information on the structure of the human body at a level and in a scope suitable for bachelor’s degree programmes in non-medical healthcare fields, including general nursing, paediatric nursing, midwifery and caregiving. It is also suitable for optometrists, paramedics, radiology and radiotherapy assistants, nutrition specialists, and graduates and students of non-medical natural science and technical biomedical fields. The book’s particular strength is its consistent use of Czech as the primary language for describing structures and explaining functions, always accompanied by the corresponding Latin or, where appropriate, Greek equivalents.
