This Czech-language introduction to ophthalmology is aimed primarily at students in bachelor-level healthcare professions, while also providing students in master’s healthcare programmes with a basic overview of ophthalmological topics. It is based on lectures by teachers from the Eye Clinic of Charles University’s First Faculty of Medicine and the Central Military Hospital in Prague, and combines essential professional information with their clinical experience. The material is arranged clearly and accessibly, with basic information distinguished from more advanced content by different coloured type and supplemented with references to further study materials. Extensive illustrations make the fully coloured publication more vivid and comprehensible.
