This photography book about Vladislav Galgonek is the sixth volume in the Olomouc Photographers series, created in cooperation with the Museum of Art Olomouc. Born in 1946 in Český Těšín, Galgonek attended a folk conservatory from 1967 to 1969 and studied reportage photography from 1981 to 1985. He has taken photographs since childhood, working systematically since 1967 and professionally since 1971, when he became an artist-photographer at the Odra mine in Ostrava. Since 1973, he has worked as an editor and photojournalist for the Czech News Agency in its regional editorial office in Olomouc. He has taken part in numerous exhibitions in the Czech Republic and abroad, particularly with the H 70 group in Ostrava and Havířov, and has held solo exhibitions in Hukvaldy, Uničov, Jeseník, Havířov, Olomouc and Šternberk. His photographs have appeared in national and international exhibitions and competitions and have been published in the Czech Republic and abroad.
