Descripción
In his introduction, doctoral student Radek Flekal presents two forgotten authors of Prague’s German-language literature, Louis Weinert-Wilton and Edgar Maria Foltin. Both also published detective fiction, a genre often placed on the margins of serious literature but warmly received by readers. This Czech translation of two detective stories from the 1930s is both a contribution to the literary-historical study of Prague’s German-language literature and an expansion of its canon by two authors, as well as entertaining reading for detective-fiction lovers.
