This Czech-language book presents Miloslav Stibor (1927–2011), an important figure and classic artist of Czech post-war photography, known for his nudes and portraits. His name is now borne by the Primary Art School in Olomouc, which he founded in the 1950s, and he is featured in most books and exhibitions on the history of Czech photography. During his lifetime, he held more than 140 solo exhibitions. He taught photography from the mid-1950s, and his carefully developed teaching methods, combining theory with practice, became a model for photography education at art schools throughout the country. His textbook Photography for Art Schools was widely used by amateurs and professionals until the arrival of digital photography. The book is published in 2021 to mark the tenth anniversary of his death.
