This Czech-language children’s book is narrated by Adinka, who tells the story of her family and one large house that is the most wonderful place in the world. It is called Villa, with a capital V and two Ls, though nobody knows why or who came up with the name. Adinka’s parents live there, along with the parents of her friends Fíďa, Laurinka, Leontýnka, Vincent and Alfréd. When Anetka and Miki come to visit, all the children from Villa are finally together. They cook delicious treats in the outdoor kitchen, go to the summer cinema in their garden, build a tent city, carve pumpkins in autumn, celebrate the Christmas rush and move into a new apartment two floors below. Being a Villekulan is simply wonderful. Suitable for children from the age of five.
