Every year, six local schools compete to win the Christmas Cup. After a rival school wins the previous year’s contest for pulling the most crackers in a minute, this year’s cup is to be awarded to the school that makes the perfect mince pie. But when a series of murders appears to be linked to the pies, each marked in pastry with a clue from a letter of the alphabet, five neurodivergent children must become detectives. By combining their different skills, they set out to find the killer, prevent another death and save their out-of-school club from being shut down forever. The story features characters with ADHD, autism, dyslexia and dyscalculia.
