This Czech handwriting practice book is the first part of a four-part series for first-grade pupils, presented in a two-colour format. It gradually teaches the formation of all the lowercase and uppercase letters covered in class. Learning to write each letter begins by observing its new shape and recognising which familiar elements it is made from. Writing syllables and words is based mainly on the acoustic-kinaesthetic analysis of words that pupils hear and pronounce. The first handwriting book follows the My First Writing workbook and is also used while working with the Living Alphabet. The contents are in Czech.
