Aeon's End: The New Age is a standalone game in the Aeon's End series. It introduces eight new mages, new Nameless bosses and many new cards. It can be played on its own or combined with the original Aeon's End box. New mechanisms include expeditions, which link several games into a short campaign featuring increasingly powerful opponents, as well as entirely new treasure cards. The game is for 1–4 players and takes about 60 minutes. The contents include 11 STOP-marked card decks, four player aid cards, 13 turn-order cards, 16 breaches, three special breaches, 19 card dividers, four mage mats, a nest mat, a Nameless boss mat, seven envelopes containing Nameless boss mats to be opened during the expedition, a first-game setup sheet, a rules sheet for after completing the expedition, life, power, surge, fly/larva, threat and player-number tokens.
