CD Michal Pavlíček: Na obzoru

Na obzoru is Michal Pavlíček’s new studio album and a clear expression of his musical roots, which he seeks to move towards new horizons. The songs are varied in colour, reflecting the essence of his perception of music. Alongside songs performed by Pavlíček and guest vocalists David Koller, Monika Načeva, Bára Basiková, Phil Schoenfelt and Radek Škarohlíd, half of the album is devoted to his guitar playing, with the two worlds carefully balanced. The lyrics come from Jan Sahara Hedl and Phil Schoenfelt, while Pavlíček also sets a poem by Jáchym Topol and a text by Pavel Kolář from one chapter of his book Řeka pod hladinou. The texts correspond to his feelings and view of the world, and one song is dedicated to a close friend who recently passed away. Pavlíček describes the album as a kind of personal confession.
