This Czech-language audiobook presents Milan Kundera’s collection of eight stories, read by Jan Kolařík, Igor Bareš, František Derfler, Ladislav Lakomý and Antonín Přidal. The stories include I, the Sorrowful God, The Golden Apple of Eternal Desire, Nobody Will Laugh, The Hitchhiking Game, Symposium, Doctor Havel After Twenty Years, Let the Old Dead Make Room for the Young Dead and Eduard and God. Kundera wrote the first story in 1958 and completed the remaining stories in the following years. The recording, directed by Antonín Přidal, captures the distinctive quality of his storytelling. It was recorded at Czech Radio Brno in 2008.
