Vladivojna La Chia connects the worlds of the mainstream and underground in this soundtrack inspired by the film 8 Heads of Madness. The distinctive singer, lyricist, producer and composer of film and theatre music has created another unusually conceived soundtrack, following her music and songs for the films Innocence and Up to the Ears. Drawing on the film’s musical motifs, she composed songs to poems by Anna Barkovová, around whom the film revolves, and invited several striking, though rather eclectic, performers to take part. Lucie Bílá appears in two entirely new and different roles, while Aneta Langerová, who plays the film’s leading character, is heard both solo and, for the first time, in a duet with Lenka Dusilová. Oto Klempíř contributes to the first single, Karaganda 35, and the album also features voices from the contemporary alternative scene, including Poly of the rock-metal band Insania, chanson singer Sylvia Bee and post-apocalyptic singer-songwriter Kittchen.
