The Immortal Woman / Nesmrtelna teta Remastered DVD
Synopsis
Matěj sits by the riverbank, asleep, while Reason and Fortune debate over him. Reason, a wise old man with silver hair, wants to help Matěj. He casts a spell, and Matěj wakes up as a new person. He tells his astonished parents that he is leaving to see the world. His journey leads him to the kingdom of Ctirad, which is suddenly struck by disaster. The portion of royal wisdom that the fairy tale figure Reason bestowed upon Matěj comes from King Ctirad's own head. In this dire moment, Envy, an ugly witch recently banished from Mojmír's kingdom, approaches Ctirad and settles in his court disguised as his cousin. Envy gradually impoverishes half the local nobility, teaching everyone to bow and wear jester hats. The wisest people in the kingdom are imprisoned. Meanwhile, Matěj sneaks into the city and immediately joins forces with the young and beautiful Pavlína, the king's daughter. Envy repeatedly tries to destroy him. At this moment, Reason and Fortune again confer over Ctirad. Although Reason is always right, he is powerless without a bit of fortune. Thus, Fortune, appearing as a golden-haired beauty, takes Matěj under her protection. However, Envy holds one final diabolical trump card...
