Synopsis
Eva Norová returns home from boarding school to prepare a surprise for her aunt's upcoming birthday. She knows that her aunt desperately desires instructions for growing a unique rose variety developed by their neighbor, the industrialist Záhorský. The challenge is that her aunt has a strained relationship with the neighbors. Eva hatches a plan to steal the instructions for the "Záhorský Roses." She infiltrates the house under the guise of a secretary job applicant, only to be surprised when she encounters her brother Michal, who has recently returned home after years abroad. Along the way, Michal has met Eliška, the daughter of industrialist Záhorský, who is trying to escape her mother's plans to announce her engagement to the dim-witted Zdeněk. Eliška asks Michal to pose as her fiancé, an English count. The situation becomes even more chaotic with the arrival of Záhorský's secretary, Jiří Kučera, who is, in fact, Dr. Jiří Novotný, attempting to reclaim his mother's precious bracelet held as collateral by the determined Mrs. Záhorská. It's clear that a bustling night awaits the Záhorský household..
