Synopsis
In this comedic road movie, three Romani men embark on a journey from Northern Czechia to Slovakia. Jura, a modern and rational young man, is studying in Prague and has a girlfriend there. When his father, whom he visits reluctantly, asks him to travel to Slovakia to meet a bride arranged for him in childhood by his father's best friend, Jura is incredulous. Initially refusing, he succumbs to his father's emotional blackmail. Accompanied by the fiery and untamed family friend Stan, they set off in a rickety truck across the two republics. Directed by Jiří Vejdělek, the film features popular actors Marián Labuda and Bolek Polívka, adding charm and humor to this unique cultural journey.
