Tezky zivot dobrodruha / Hard life of an adventure DVD
Synopsis
In the audience-favorite comedy from Martin Frič in 1941, a recurring concept unfolds: Karel Kryšpín, an author of lowbrow detective literature, is unexpectedly confronted with his own creation - in this case, his novel's protagonist, the gentleman thief Fred Flok. Fred Flok unexpectedly appears in Kryšpín's apartment, turning his peaceful life upside down. He becomes embroiled in a money and jewelry theft, battles a gang of criminals, and protects a defenseless girl. Essentially, he gets to experience firsthand all the nonsense that week after week feeds readers of cheap detective magazines... The screenplay was co-written by Josef Gruss and Karel Steklý, featuring stars of the era, including Ladislav Pešek, Otomar Korbelář, Jaroslav Marvan, and Adina Mandlová. The film includes the songs Sám já chodívám rád and Každý musí někdy něco mít by Eman Fiala, performed by R. A. Dvorský and Lišáci.
