Synopsis
Frantisek Hlavsa, a Prague-based editor, goes to a countryside cottage with his children — Olga, Franta, little Milanek, and their grandmother. The children adore animals and really want a dog. The grandmother would also appreciate a guard dog because she'll be staying alone with the kids during the summer holidays. Frantisek is reluctant, believing that a cat would be enough for the children. The whole issue of getting a puppy serves him as a topic for an essay. However, the response to his essay is quite unexpected...
