We have decided to look at the years 1918 to 2018 from a perspective that is closest to us, through maps. In the title we present to you, we have attempted to map significant events of the past 100 years and place them in specific locations on a clear map of Czechoslovakia and other state entities that existed and exist on its territory. We also paid attention to territorial changes that occurred, especially in the early years of the independent state. Such a clearly processed and thoroughly explained map is a unique endeavor. Particularly interesting topics, such as the national composition during the First Republic, the built line of fortifications in the border areas, the occupation from 1939 to 1945, or the Slovak National Uprising, are dedicated to separate maps.
