This is due, on one hand, to the rising incidence of reflux esophagitis with Barrett's metaplasia and, on the other hand, to the successful eradication of H. pylori infection. There are several reconstructive methods for proximal gastric resection, aimed at improving the ability to intake food, functional outcomes, and overall quality of life. The three basic methods include direct esophagogastroanastomosis, jejunal interposition, and the so-called double-tract reconstruction. Patients after proximal resection have lower long-term weight loss and better nutritional status indicators. Recently, there has been an emphasis on assessing the quality of life of cancer patients. Published results so far indicate a possible benefit of proximal resection over total gastrectomy in terms of long-term improved quality of life, at least for patients with early-stage cancer.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Maxdorf s.r.o.","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":51771398324571,"sku":"9788073455750","price":20.9,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1787\/2513\/files\/0509071.jpg?v=1763639500","url":"https:\/\/czechmovie.com\/products\/9788073455750","provider":"czechmovie","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
