His success in hit songs, albums and concerts had made him one of the most successful musicians in the country, and he was looking for new challenges. Combining his proven talent as a composer with more serious lyrics by František Ringo Čech reflected this change in his outlook. With an excellent band completing the project, the prospects were promising, but fate decided otherwise. Schelinger managed to record only a fragment of the planned album, specifically the songs Sen, Stavros Niarchos and Alchymista. After his tragic death on 8 April 1981, the remaining repertoire was taken up by F. R. Čech, Jiří’s younger brother, singer and guitarist Milan, as well as Jiří Hopp and the band Projektil. Compiled by Miloš Latislav, this collection includes the originally recorded songs and unfinished themes completed by close colleagues between 1980 and 1984, along with a 1993 sample from Zemětřesení featuring Aleš Brichta and solo versions of several songs recorded by Milan Sch. in 1996. Moimir Papalescu carefully remastered the uniquely varied sound, while Latislav’s sleeve notes explain the connections and present new facts, including details of the band line-ups. The commemorative selection is complemented by little-known photographs documenting the period in which the songs and their foundations took shape, sadly the last such period in Jiří Schelinger’s life. The tracklist includes Sen, Stavros Niarchos, Strážci majáku, Cesty, Cizinec, Galéra, Hodina H, Hostina, Alchymista, Marathon, Zemětřesení, Planeta Gamma, Můžeš vejít, Muž ze železných hor, Lásky klaun (Tokyo Nights) and Stavros Niarchos - boháč z Jevíčka.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Supraphon","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":54025876111707,"sku":"099925699420","price":30.9,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1787\/2513\/files\/0674820.jpg?v=1789067326","url":"https:\/\/czechmovie.com\/products\/099925699420","provider":"czechmovie","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
