099925667221
Jaroslav Hašek - Výběr z díla světově proslulého spisovatel - CDmp3

This Czech-language MP3 audiobook presents a selection from the work of Jaroslav Hašek, exploring animals, people, life and love through stories, excerpts from The Good Soldier Švejk and memories of Hašek by Josef Lada. The recordings feature Jan Werich, Vlasta Burian, Rudolf Hrušínský, Jiřina Šejbalová, Josef Somr, Petr Nárožný, Viktor Preiss, Vojtěch Dyk, Ivan Lupták, Jakub Albrecht, Vojtěch Vondráček, Ladislav Frej, Vlastimil Brodský, Ferenc Futurista, Vojta Merten, Jožka Wannerová, Jaroslav Marvan, Miroslav Táborský and Alois Švehlík. Issued to mark the 140th anniversary of Hašek’s birth, the collection draws on Supraphon’s archive recordings, including 1936 recordings of The Good Soldier Švejk performed by Ferenc Futurista, scenes from the 1946 Větrník Theatre production with Vlastimil Brodský, and previously unused test recordings of Švejk with Jan Werich. The opening stories are largely inspired by Hašek’s time editing the magazine Svět zvířat, where he found in animals models of behaviour that people often conceal beneath the veneer of upbringing. The closing bonus contains stories previously unreleased in audio, read by young actors Ivan Lupták, Jakub Albrecht and Vojtěch Vondráček. Throughout, Hašek compares the lives of animals and people with moving philosophical humour.
