A fun classic

Alas, this very cute movie is in Czech and with Czech subtitles only, but well worth the watch. A very young brother and sister travel with their parents who are helping to restore a castle in the countryside. On the way (although the parents don't seem to notice it) the two find themselves in the middle of a fairy tale. A cat-hating villain in black tries to get rid of their beloved cat Lizou and her kittens, and only a magic potion, the "living water" can save her. To get the living water, the boy Radek becomes the Cat Prince and the girl Terezka becomes - Terezka. But Terezka knows all the fairy tales (and, it turns out, the fairy tale characters know her too!) and it will take all they both have to complete their quest.

I should mention that I've been very satisfied with Czechmovie and the quality of the films. I've placed a few orders with them in the past and although it does take time for mail to arrive here in the US from the Czech Republic, my orders have always been complete and the quality has been excellent.

Synopsis
The castle custodian Král is moving to a new place of work with his wife, son Radek and a five - years old daughter Terezka. Radek takes his cat Líza with him. A fully loaded truck moves through the country which is in spring blossoms, gradually changing into a snow-covered land. Children's imagination creates from real experiences magic stories - a fairy-tale grandpa takes them to a new castle, the children fear a black-horse rider who - as the grandpa and the cleaning lady assert she hates cats.
