Three fairy tales in one

Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, The Twelve Months are all covered in this film/musical, linked by 3 brothers who enter the stories as the romantic male leads. Memorable songs, great (and often familiar) actors who sing well, lots of lovely friendly animals and nature, yet another castle I've not seen in other films, romance, humour, fairy tale atmosphere and magic, masterful cinematography. Since each story is about 30 minutes, each tale is sure to keep the attention of very young fairy tale fans too. As with these fairy tale films, this remains enjoyable on rewatch also. Special mention for the English subtitles: the very kind and capable translator(s) even took pains to rhyme the translation when the song lyrics rhymed, while aiming to keep the essence of the meaning intact. Thanks to all involved including to CzechMovie for letting my family experience this new treasure in our collection.

Three Brothers / Tri bratri
Synopsis
Three brothers (Vojtech Dyk, Tomas Klus and Zdenek Piskula) leave their home to see the world. During their journey, young men as by miracle enter into famous fairy tales (Little Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Twelve Months) and face traps, unexpected moments and even love in a story full of humor and songs. Script and music of new fairy tale are based on popular musical theatre play Miniopers by famous duo of screenwriter Zdenek Sverak and composer Jaroslav Uhlir.
