Synopsis
Jiří Sequens's film Assassination takes us back to one of the darkest periods in Czech history, the time of Nazi occupation. It grippingly tells the story of an act that holds significant importance in World War II history: the assassination of the highest representative of Nazi power in the Czech lands, the Reich Protector SS Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich. The film provides a comprehensive overview of this event and attempts to capture various contexts. Particularly compelling is the portrayal of the heroic final stand of the parachutists in the church on Resslova Street in Prague.
