Synopsis
The summer comedy Sun, Hay, Strawberries is a humorous portrayal of life in a South Bohemian village. The plot revolves around student Šimon Plánička, who arrives in the village for a summer internship. He intends to conduct experiments in the local barn on the milking of cows in relation to environmental culture. Initially, nobody wants to hear about it, but everything changes when it spreads like wildfire that Šimon is the son of a regional official... Director Zdeněk Troška filmed this folk comedy in his native village of Hoštice u Volyně, with both actors and non-actors participating, and almost the entire village appearing as extras.
