Synopsis
In a story contrasting the young and tragic Veronese lovers, 'Late November' presents a mature couple finding love. Sixty-year-old Karel Pluhař (K. Höger) meets Maria (D. Medřická), a woman marked by unhappiness, and realizes this chance encounter could lead to new happiness, regardless of petty interests and obstacles. As they journey together, they learn the importance of looking forward with hope and bravery, rather than dwelling on regretful memories. This perspective enriches their lives, diminishes the bitterness of passing time, and shields them from the burdens of aging. The film portrays their path to late happiness with understanding and a hint of irony towards those complicating their journey.
