Synopsis
Vladimír Mišík is a pivotal figure in Czech popular music, influencing an entire generation of artists across music, visual arts, and literature. He co-founded the band Blue Effect with guitarist Radim Hladík and has been playing with the band Etc for over forty years. The film story of Vladimír Mišík is a mosaic of his memories, songs, historical and personal archives, and interviews with colleagues, close friends, and family. The film alternates between the fictional space of "Mišík's little planet" and reality on Earth, infusing the narrative with rhythm, humor, playfulness, and warm humanity. A significant aspect of Mišík's destiny is the theme of his unknown father, an American soldier, leaving behind only his mother's memories and two photographs. Despite initial futile efforts to learn more about his father, Mišík's son Adam, with the help of Czech and American historians, continues the search for his family roots.
