Synopsis
A sumptuous international co-production about the life of the famous Polish Nobel Prize winner.
The story of an extraordinary woman who did not hesitate to follow her heart and, thanks to her intelligence, knowledge and extraordinary skills, managed to convince the world of science, which had always been dominated by men.
This is a portrait of the Nobel Prize winner as we have never known her - an affectionate mother, a loving wife, a charismatic and determined woman, although full of dilemmas and contradictions, and at the same time a unique journey back in time to turn-of-the-century Paris - a city of art and discoveries that changed the world.
The title role is played by Karolina Gruszka. She is partnered by, among others, Iza Kuna in the role of Bronisława Skłodowska - sister of the Nobel Prize winner, Piotr Głowacki as Albert Einstein, Jan Frycz as Ernest Solvay - founder of the International Institute of Physics, and Daniel Olbrychski as Emile Amagat - Maria's staunch opponent.
