Synopsis
The book Ultima Culpa (The Last Mistake) by Kamila B. Richter, a Czech painter and media artist living in Karlsruhe, Germany, is the first art monograph in Czech-English published by GASK on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name (June-October 2022). This important editorial venture by the Central Bohemian Region Gallery presents Richter's work from 2007 to the present in a dynamic and innovative graphic design by 20YY Designers (Robert Jansa). On nearly 150 pages we find not only visually disturbing psychedelics reflecting the digitalization of our inner and outer world, but also inspiring texts by four authors: the renowned Austrian post-conceptual artist and new media theorist Peter Weibl, German art historian Paul Kenig, Czech poet and Germanist Zbyněk Fišer and GASK curator Veronika Marešová.
