Synopsis
Inka, a lonely and poor girl, is employed at an artificial flower shop owned by her aunt Anna Hurychová. Inka confides to her friend Božka that her romantic relationship with the successful actor Viktor has had consequences. Selfish and arrogant, Viktor is pampered by his admirers, especially by his mother, a successful writer of girls' novels. Although her books often feature wealthy men marrying poor girls, in real life, she rejects Inka as a daughter-in-law. Viktor leaves for a film shoot and loses interest in Inka. After a dispute, Inka loses her job at her aunt's shop. The only employment she finds after many days is performing as a live swimsuit model in a department store window. However, this initiative causes an unwanted stir, and Inka is left jobless again. In her time of need, Božka and her brother Ferda, who secretly loves Inka, take care of her. The birth of a boy reconciles Inka with her aunt, who, in reality, has a heart of gold...
